Applications for the Milaca Scholarship Foundation's Alumni Award Scholarships will be accepted from April 1 - May 31, 2023. These scholarships are for former Milaca High School students who graduated prior to 2023 and are in college or are about to enter college. The MSF awards six designated alumni award scholarships each year with other alumni scholarships given depending on fundraising and from the interest earned on our endowed investments. In 2022, we awarded 25 applicants with Alumni Scholarships of up to $1,000. Students may apply every year while attending school, but those who have not received one previously will be given first consideration.

Alumni Award applicants may now apply ONLINE using the Student Portal for MSF Alumni Scholarships. These scholarships will not appear as visible until April 1. If you begin your application process before this date, you will need to return to complete the application for scholarships.

Beginning in 2022, you MUST apply online. No paper applications will be accepted.

The application that you will complete online is the same application that our high school seniors fill out; therefore, some portions of the application may not apply to you as an alumni applicant.

Here some tips to help you along the way:

1. Update (if you are a repeat applicant) or complete any personal information in the following sections:

  • Basic Info

  • Additional Info

  • Schools

2.  Ignore any sections or questions that seem to apply only to high school seniors (e.g. awards, test scores, transcript requests,
free/reduced lunch, etc.)

3. Upload a current transcript (if you are currently a student) to the "Documents" section of the application.  This does not need to be an
official transcript.

4. Submit a reference request to someone who has known you in the last year and can speak about your work ethic and goals. Remind
your reference to be watching for an email from "Scholarship America" as these sometimes get lost in spam folders.

5. You do NOT need to update your essays (Goals/Unusual Circumstances); instead, when you finish completing all parts of the
application:
  • Click on "My Scholarships"

  • Click on "Alumni Award Scholarships Question"

  • Complete the custom question, which is an updated version of the Goals Essay. DO NOT repeat the same essay from high school. Your essay should be about 350 words.

6. Once you feel you have completed all relevant parts of the application, including the custom essay question, then:

  • Click "Verify Eligibility" (in the "My Scholarships section)

  • Apply to all scholarships listed, and you are done!
